I always had the headcanon that the time dilation of in computer vs out of computer time is entirely dependant on the system clock cycles, that is the speed at which the physical circuitry (either crystal oscillator or RLC circuit) switches between states, which is how fast the system runs (and how much heat it generates). Which would make sense! The Encom system would be clocked slower than The Grid as it's an older system as well as the fact that The Grid is supposed to be a supercomputer. So the time difference between the Encom system and real-time would be smaller than that of The Grid.
As for the wait time, ye olde mainframes (pre-pc era) were generally not turned on for very long as they were incredibly power inefficient and thus VERY expensive to run. You pretty much got 1 chance a day to run/test your program in the punch card days (punch cards are quite a bit older than the Encom system but it may still apply. Most didn't stick with punch cards for very long when they got access to tape). I could imagine that whatever insurance company that Ram was a part of was not using the most up to date system at the time as those costed more to rent when an older system would still do the job fine.
So I've been thinking about the time system in the ENCOM system...

The Tron wiki pretty much ONLY talks about the time system as it applies on the New Grid.
(Saying that a millicycle is about eight hours, a cycle is about a year, and that time on the Grid is about a fiftieth of a year in the User world).
But that would make a microcycle about half a minute in Grid time.
Which doesn't make sense with Ram talking about being stuck in the cells for 200 microcycles. He says it like he's been there weeks or months, at least. Not hours or less.
So, in my writing (which is set in the Encom system) I tend to treat an Encom microcycle as a day.
But while working on my latest story, I had reason to wonder what exactly an ENCOM year is, then.
And I think I've figured it out.
ENCOM programs are made to interact regularly with the User world. So, their time system would be connected much more closely to User time.
So, I suspect an ENCOM "cycle" is equivalent to a year in User time.
And a millicycle should be a thousandth of that, and a microcycle a millionth.
So for ENCOM programs, if a microcycle is a day, then a cycle is like a million days (and a millicycle is like a thousand days).
That would mean (if I'm doing my math right, which is not certain, lol) one ENCOM cycle is like over two thousand years for a program.
Now, a program would have very different feelings about time from a User. Since programs are meant to interact with Users, they're probably okay with waiting a couple thousand years for something a User would wait one year for (as long as that wait is within typical expected function for the program).
But I think, from now on, if I want to write about a period of time that's more like a year for an ENCOM program, I'm gonna say maybe... a quarter-millicycle.

A Time of Dragons
I had this sitting in my drafts for literal years. It was meant to be a followup to Dragonback (which I wrote in 2019) but I kept getting sidetracked with other prompts and projects. Now with Kiriko dropping with still no explanation for the Shimada Dragons, even though it was claimed years ago that the dragons aren’t magic, I am once again compulsively driven to do Blizzard’s job for them.

It had been a couple of weeks since the events in Shirakami-Sanchi. Rei had mostly moved back in ( “You can save the world or you can pay rent in Los Angeles, but you definitely can’t do both,” she had said as she, Marti, Aedan and the Twins were carrying boxes off of the Orca.) There was a certain bittersweetness to it--Genji knew how much losing the dragon had hurt her, but she really did seem to have built a decent life for herself outside of Overwatch, and now she was back. Whenever Rei cooked up some recipe she had picked up from her stunt days, or even offhandedly mentioned some production trivia for Midori Rider, Genji couldn’t help feeling that, even if the dragon was back, even if their family was back together, this too, was a failure to protect her. But as time went on, it seemed she was out of the apartment now just as often as when she was moved out.
 At first a lot of it was debriefing with Marti, or sparring with the other kids (not kids anymore, he had to keep reminding himself that), or slipping away with Aedan, but eventually Genji did notice Rei was spending an unusual amount of time at Winston’s lab, or at Athena’s mainframe accessing all of their records on Vishkar, and Satya mentioned Rei repeatedly asking her about teleporter mechanics. The third time Rei didn’t show up to dinner, she sent them a text saying she was at the Amaris’. Again.
“Well, she was moved out for a while. You get used to being on your own,” said Mercy, crunching on some salad with a shrug.
“Do you think I was pressuring her to get the dragon back too much?” Genji asked abruptly.
Mercy raised her eyebrows slightly. “Genji, she was traumatized by losing that dragon. I understand her hesitance at trying again, but...” Mercy trailed off, “I mean, obviously you understand what it means to have a dragon more than me, but I could tell she loved it. It was a part of her. And you’ve always been very careful about that sort of thing.” 
“Mm...” Genji pushed some of his food around his plate.
“I mean, have you asked her?” Mercy tilted her head.
“Have you asked her?” Genji returned.
“I assumed it’s a sort of, ‘She’ll tell me when she’s ready’ sort of deal,” Mercy shrugged, “But if it’s worrying you--”
“I’m not worried. She’s an adult. She’s smart. I trust her and Winston. And the Amaris. And she could take care of herself in Los Angeles. And I’m sure she’s--” Genji realized he was mostly trying to convince himself more than Angela and he exhaled, rubbing at one eyebrow. “Okay, I’ll ask her.”

“I just--I want you to keep an open mind,” said Rei, as they both walked to Winston’s lab.
“Why do you keep saying that?” Genji tilted his head.
“Because I know what I saw in Shirakami-Sanchi--I mean I think I know,” Rei was holding her hands close to herself, fingers slightly tensed as they both paused in front of the lab doors.
“The blue light,” Genji said.
“Like, in the family story, we keep calling it the Shrine of Moonlight but we haven’t actually been able to find an exact physical place--” Rei cut herself off as the lab doors opened, “Just--keep an open mind? Please?”
“Fourth time you’ve said that--” said Genji, walking after her into the lab.
 “Winston?” Rei called across the lab.
“Mm?” Winston emerged from behind several monitors. “Oh! Rei! I was just looking back over my notes from the initial development of--” he caught himself and looked at Genji. “Oh-oh...” he said, “It’s... good to see you Genji!”
“He’s ready,” said Rei.
“Er--are you sure? Because when we discussed it--”
“Will both of you just say what this is about?!” Genji blurted out a bit more loudly than he really meant to.
Rei and Winston exchanged glances, and Rei said, “It’s... about the Shimada dragons. About what they are.”
Genji tensed slightly where he stood.
“If you don’t want to hear it, I totally understand--” Rei started.
“No it’s--I mean I want to but---” Genji gestured in the air helplessly a few seconds, “Rei, you didn’t grow up with all of the stories of the Shimada.”
“I know.”
“I mean, there are some things in this world where it’s not really about understanding--”
“Dad, you weren’t the one trying to get your dragon back for a year and a half,” Rei said with knee-jerk harshness, but she quickly seemed to realize what she just said. “I’m sorry,” she ran her fingers through her hair, “I just---”
“No, I’m sorry--it’s just... my last experience with someone trying to ‘understand’ the Shimada dragons was... with Moira. If I had a euro for every time she scratched me or plucked out a hair while healing me on a mission, or took the cup I was drinking from...she would try to play it off and act like I was the paranoid one but I knew what she was doing.” 
“DNA samples...” Winston murmured.
“And the dragon is--” Genji huffed out an exhale, “I know the Shimada clan has a lot of blood on its hands, but our father always impressed on us that we had the dragons for a reason. You don’t question--” Genji caught himself again.
“...’Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth?’” Rei suggested.
That sounded like something she picked up from Cassidy, but Genji nodded all the same.
“Well--we aren’t going to ask for DNA anything--this is... just a theory. And... a solid amount of it is based on what I saw in Shirakami-Sanchi so...”
“...high adrenaline often doesn’t make for the most accurate narrative,” Winston conceded with a shrug, “But it has some interesting correlations with my observations on Tracer following the Slipstream incident!” 
Genji took a steadying breath. “Okay. Fine. What do you think the dragons are?”
“Just a forewarning, you won’t like my theory,” said Winston, “I don’t like my theory and I came up with my theory.”
“I helped,” Rei piped up.
“Humor me,” said Genji, folding his arms.
Winston inhaled deeply, “Basically speaking, I think we’re breaking time.”
“I’m sorry—breaking time?” said Genji.
Winston picked up a long strip of paper, “I’m not going to go into the whole ‘Flea and acrobat’ lecture, but let’s talk teleportation technology.” Holding both ends of the paper in each hand, he slowly brought his hands toward each other, rippling the paper, but not crinkling it. “Teleporters basically fold time and space,” he said, pinching the rippled up paper in one hand and holding it up to Genji.
“You’re going to punch through that paper with a pen, aren’t you?” said Genji.
Winston’s brow furrowed slightly.
“I watch movies,” said Genji.
Winston sighed, “No, Genji, a pen would imply it was clean, that the rupture of time and space didn’t leave anything in its wake and only generated a neat doorway. It didn’t do that. The malfunction of the slipstream--and I’m sure other teleportation failures--and maybe even the continuing use of teleporters--may have created a physical rupture—one that likely didn’t last very long, but long enough for chronal contaminants to find their way in—-we’re talking technology, objects, bacterial cultures—maybe even electrical broadcasts. Now the effects of these could range from the mostly harmless—a television set in the 1960’s receiving a broadcast from the 2010’s but it only coming through as static—-to the ecologically and chronologically devastating. Imagine a bacteria with the antibiotic resistance of the 2070’s finding its way back to the Roman Empire. It could have wiped out cities…or imagine even something from our future finding its way back to our past. Let’s say… genetic manipulation technology suddenly appearing in Heian Period Japan.”
“You think the Shimada Dragon is… the result of time… breaking,” Genji said slowly.
“What’s the alternative, Genji, divine intervention?” Winston blurted out but then caught himself. Genji seemed pensive.
“Maybe the dragons are magic—but when it comes to science, ’Magic’ is just a catchall for what we aren’t equipped to understand yet,” said Winston, rubbing his brow, “‘Chronal Contamination and interaction with futuristic Genetic Modification technology’ isn’t the most…. beautiful or poetic explanation of what the Shimada dragons are, but it’s the closest theory I can come up with for them. But the thing was—if our timeline was affected, this would simply be the reality we know. Bizarre sudden advances in human technologies or understanding would merely fold into our understanding of our own history. Honestly, because of this contamination—”
“Theoretical contamination,” said Genji.
“—there’s a chance teleporter technology may have paradoxically catalyzed its own development!” Winston exclaimed.
“Like when you time travel and accidentally become your own grandfather!” said Rei.
Genji sat, his eyes flicking between Rei and Winston. He glanced at Rei. “...and you’re with Winston on this?”
Rei seemed to study his face for a moment, clearly trying to gauge what kind of answer he wanted from her with what she really felt. Genji kept his own expression steady, tried to keep his mind ready for whatever her answer was. Rei inhaled. “When I lost the dragon, I was meditating for months--Dad, you know how hard I was trying to get it back...” she unconsciously touched over her shoulder where the upper part of her dragon tattoo was, “And--I don’t know---I think.. the fact that it might be technology operating beyond any of our understanding is... for me... more comforting than the idea that I’m not living up to the spiritual expectations of ancestors in the--the-- in the 9th century.  Because that means it was beyond their understanding too! Wouldn’t that be funny?”
“...so it would take the shape of a dragon because, given that level of power, they would assume it’s a spiritual, celestial power,” said Genji, trying to follow the train of thought.
“Exactly!” said Rei.
Genji set his jaw slightly. “It’s just... for me, the dragon was its own sort of higher calling...”
“But that’s not what the clan used it for. We know that,” Rei reached forward and touched his wrist, “Technology is a tool. It doesn’t... care how it’s used. You’ve said yourself the dragon might as well be your leg or your hand--I thought I saw moonlight at the bottom of that pond in Shirakami-Sanchi, but when I got on the dropship, I saw Tracer’s chronal accelerator and...” Rei’s brow crinkled a little, “It’s... it was the same light. I mean there was something about the light in the bottom of the pond that was... cleaner? More steady? But it was the same light, Dad. I know it was. I know what I saw.” 
Genji sat in silence for nearly two minutes. In this long period Winston started with, “Of course there are a lot of implications with the continued use of teleporters--” or “And as I said, if our time is actively being affected, there’s no way for us to trace these things as anomalies since they simply write themselves into our understanding of our history---” or some variation of that, but he quickly gauged Genji’s silence and cut himself off. 
“Dad?” Rei kept her hand on his wrist.
“Mm?” Genji murmured vacantly.
“Are you mad at me?”
Genji blinked several times. “Oh--Sunshine, no--never. If anyone in the Shimada clan has a right to question where the dragons come from and what they are--” he couldn’t quite bring himself to finish that sentence. “It’s hard,” he said after a few moments, “For a long time--the idea that we had the dragons for a reason--that helped me get through some very dark times, with regard to figuring out what I was. Even in my moments of vengeful hatred--the dragon was this... divine justice. There’s always a part of you that wants to feel like something’s in control...” he trailed off and looked at her, trying to figure out how to cap off that thought.
“I think...” Rei started slowly, “Deciding to be a good person... even when everything’s out of your control... is just as brave as having some kind of magical destiny.”
Genji gave a half-chuckle, half-scoff. “You sound like your mother.” 
“Think she’ll be into the theory?” Rei perked up.
“Maybe,” said Genji.
“I’d say it’s entirely too speculative for her tastes,” said Winston, pushing up his glasses.
“Then again it is just as suspicious how biotic technology was able to develop so quickly,” Genji mused.
“Dad!” Rei blurted out before turning to Winston, “What do you think?” 
“...I think I need to look at the timeline for the development of medical nanotechnology and cross reference it with the timeline for omnic self-repair nanotech,” said Winston, not looking at either of them.

Late that night, Genji lay in bed, staring at the ceiling. 
“Howwuzzit?” Mercy murmured sleepily, nuzzling his organic shoulder as she clasped his prosthetic hand.
“Angela?” he said, still staring at the ceiling.
“Mmh?”
“Would you still love me if the dragon wasn’t a divine spiritual force and actually a fluke resulting from teleportation malfunctions accidentally rendering the barrier between past and future porous?”
“...Whuh?”
“Would you still love me if the dragon exists because of time travel?”
“...Y-yes?” Mercy blinked blearily, “...is that... what Rei and Winston’ve been working on?”
“Yes,” said Genji, still staring at the ceiling.
Mercy looked at his profile with her own perception dimming at the edges with sleepiness. “...sounds... entirely too speculative,” she murmured, smooshing her cheek against his shoulder once more.
Genji snorted.

"Orders about what?" Arcade's left off his coat in the Mojave heatwave, and his lover down to sharp black trousers and a blue shirt rolled up to the elbows makes him momentarily wish that Daisy wasn't here, or indeed the rest of the population of Novac.
Lover, heh. The thing he most regrets about all this is giving up that fond familiar term for a new and alien one.
"Anything," Daisy says mildly. "I won't spoil the surprise if Benny hasn't told you yet."
"...if he hadn't told you- uh, okay. I can wait." He throws Benny a confused look, gets a cheerful stonewall of a response.
Really, there's no need to inform Daisy that he let famously laidback Arcade Gannon be the one to propose first.

"I'm prescribing you a break. Medically."
"House had a point plugging himself into a mainframe," Benny growls, tossing yet another clipboard into the ever-growing stack besides him. "It would save a lot of trouble to do this all mentally- do you know how many pages of negotiations I'm dealing with for the sharecropper farms alone?"
"No, and that isn't the point. You need to stop acting like we're in perpetual crisis mode, the war's been over for a month-"
"The crises don't stop just because of a sudden outbreak of peace."
"You've got Swank. You've got a room full of clerks back there," Arcade says, gesturing. The Tops presidential suite is almost unrecognizable now from its earlier iteration as a swinger pad; there are charts on the walls, hurrying subordinates, and the bar has been cleared of liquor in favor of a shiny new terminal for Benny's private use. "You have responsibilities, yes, but you need to ease off at some point. Unless you actually want everyone to start thinking you're another Mr House in the making."
Not only has the thought occurred to him, now wasn't even for the first time today, but- you can hardly say that to Arcade.
"I couldn't relax here if I wanted to. Look at this mess. There isn't a place in New Vegas where I could go without having a lot of hangers on trying to get my attention, at least I can hear myself think in here."
"True. That's why I bought a house."
"The fuck- you what?" Squatting is one thing. Actually, literally, owning property, putting in for an official deed claim with the antiquated RobCo property machinery...not only is it an incredible pain, it's incredibly expensive. Even the Kings didn't bother with that, and the Old Mormon Fort is technically rented.
"Well. I had a few gold bars burning a hole in my pocket...and some free time, since the horrendous bloodbath of a New Vegas conquest singularly failed to happen."
"I thought you were donating that to the Followers."
"I thought it'd be good to use it for purposes that advance a Follower agenda. Such as insuring that our newly independent city-state has the opportunity to demonstrate it can exist without its interim dictator." Arcade leans over the bar, kisses his forehead in a gently, oddly chaste way.
It seems odd to Benny at first, until Arcade pulls back and he realises they have an audience. There is no way everyone from the back office needed a pencil all at the same time.
Well, if there's an audience he might as well live up to it. Benny flicks them a smile, adjusts the folds of his collar. "That's different. If you wanted to sweep me off my feet for a long dirty weekend, why didn't you start with the lead?"
He pulls Arcade close for a much more enthusiastic embrace, lips and tongues interlocked, until the doctor actually overbalances. For one terrifying moment he thinks he'll lose control, helplessly watch Arcade go falling headfirst into the wall or the floor or something equally painful.
It doesn't happen. He sustains the weight, until Arcade manages to pull back and stand up again, apparently unaware that anything could have happened. It's all right. They're all right.
"The things I'll do to advance a healthy socio-political agenda," his lover retorts, rather pink-faced, to general clapping and cheers.

Phoenix Point, the house is called; and Benny almost regrets it.
It's right across the street from an old tools factory, one of the places he'd resorted to while hunting up Lucky 38 access codes, heart in his mouth every minute. It hasn't been long before he'd known that Arcade's gambit with the Fiends had ended with his rescue by the courier; it had been considerably more worrying, that she had him than they. Fiends being killable.
Marilyn...he still has nightmares, justified ones.
The mistrust eases as Arcade opens the small barbed wire gate, though- it's pre-war security, with a physical and electrical lock. The outer door offers a hefty piece of metal plating, impenetrable to two centuries of decay.
This better not be like a vault. Arcade knows his opinion on those-
but then his lover unlocks the door and lets them inside, and it isn't like that at all.
Light, that's the first thing he notices. Real sunlight, glinting off the water in an open courtyard- a reservoir then, water to waste. That's an immediately soothing sight right there, unmitigated luxury for anyone raised to Mojave dust.
He makes for it immediately, tasting its sweet clarity- no rads, the Pip-Boy silence confirms that. In place of a Geiger counter he can hear Mr New Vegas, endlessly ruminating about love; and the faint whistle of a stewpot on the boil.
And his lover's quick breathing, behind him.
Benny turns, grins at Arcade's self-conscious pose; lying down but with an elbow propping up his chin, all that height shown off even horizontally as compared to the array of ferns and broc flowers behind him. "Is the rest of it this nice?"
"I certainly hope so. I went to more trouble than I needed to, perhaps- the Lucky 38 has been, uh, liberated of a number of books. Brought out some supplies for the workshop, that kind of thing...put together a wardrobe for you," Arcade says, looking very nearly pained. "Even articles that I do not have any comprehension why a sane person would wear."
Benny laughs, but can't sustain it; too much at once, too deeply meant to him. "I love it. I love it already, I love you."
"You haven't even seen it yet."
He draws his lover close, the scent of herbs and animal warmth and the brightening light of the Strip all melding together into one glorious sensation. "I will. Because..."
He doesn't know how to say how a home is holy to him, or how there's no one else in the world he would trust to shape it for him. Or how to say anything at all that means what he needs it to, when words are his worthless stock in trade.
"Because it's you," he says eventually; because that's honest.
Arcade laughs, strokes his hair. "Glad to hear it. Imagine trying to woo the Chairman of the Tops without a reasonably impressive dowry."
That rings false, he almost pulls away. "You don't need to buy me."
"I thought you appreciated that kind of ironic backchat."
"I do, but...not from you. Not with that sincere Followers face of yours." With that ready impatience for the truly immoral, the willingness to speak truth to power. "You're my moral center. Keep on keeping me honest, please."
Arcade favors him with a distinctly stunned expression. "Oddly, I'm rather in the habit of thinking that's what you are to me. You're braver than I am, as far as accepting the risk of failure to try to steer towards better outcomes. There are times when indecision itself can become paralysing."
The sunset isn't visible from behind the high fencing, but there's a rich blueness fading to purple above them. "In that case...carpe diem?"
"Seize the day?"
"Is that what it means? The impression I got was that it meant something more like 'jump my bones'. That'll teach me to listen to ex-Legion prostitutes."
"...you have a profoundly terrible sense of timing," Arcade murmurs, and rolls over on top of him.
"Uh."
"Carpe diem, then?"
Maybe his voice does fail him; but he kisses his way into a yes.

Some facts about the Portal genderbent gang!
Dorothy:
- Was arrested for trespassing in an abandoned factory once as a teen. Somehow that was the only time she was ever caught and she’s still mad about it
- Sung and played guitar for a garage band in college
- Self medicates post-Portal 2 with the strange concoctions and creations of the former medical department, including a particular plant that has become rather overgrown and unruly through that part of the building
- Never properly learned how to drive and never had a license
- Sees hints of things that will eventually become important, but isn’t sure if it’s prophecy or dejavu. No one listens to her about it anyways
- Has met Dr. Vance, Dr. Magnusson, Dr. Kleiner, and Dr. Breen. The first three were met at science conferences, but she met Dr. Breen in college when he was there to meet and possibly recruit future employees. Unfortunately an Aperture representative was there that day too
- Spent most of the time during the 10 year gap before Ciel woke up exploring the facility when possible. She specifically learned about and knows things VLaD has no way of knowing about due to not having files on it. This includes the multiverse/multiverse device, Borealis travel times/locations and how to calculate it, F-stop technology, and most admin passwords
- Has not aged outwardly since joining Aperture at age 23 due to the food in Aperture containing untested elements. She has not realized this fact yet
Ciel:
- LOVES parkour and will backflip off of tall places if he has long fall boots
- Enjoys ice skating for the sole reason mun can’t get this video out of their head when thinking about Him
- Was arrested for arson as a teen after dropping a firework down a mystery pipe that just so happened to have gas. It exploded and caught a portion of the woods on fire, where he was later found trying to put the fires out
- Also arrested for trespassing around the same time for wandering into old houses that were falling apart
- If asked about why he joined Aperture’s testing initiative after Portal 2, he will lie and say he did it as part of a bet. If pried, he won’t give a real answer because he can’t really remember
- Really is a mute, but fluent in ASL due to learning in foster homes growing up
- Grew up taller than most of his peers, leading to his eventual 6′7 height
- Lost the ability to feel strong pain after 20,000 years in stasis, which also applies to Dorothy and test subjects left in stasis for that long
VLaD:
- Has a decent reason for hating the scientists that created him, but when asked, will simply say that "Perhaps they would still be alive if they weren't so intent on testing limits"
- There's a reason he was able to build up an immunity to the testing euphoria while others can't, but he refuses to say more than the fact that most anything becomes bearable with enough exposure
- Cameron lived in his head rent free until VLaD somehow figured out how to charge him rent
- “Tests on” (aka takes care of and secretly loves) a stray cat affectionately named Neuro
- It bothers him more than it should that something can be called a soap opera but have neither soap nor operas predominantly featured
- Doesn’t actually want to kill Dorothy after Ciel is set loose but pretends he does, because where’s the fun in losing his last adversary
- Knows absolutely nothing about the multiverse due to the Aperture that keeps other Aperture facilities at bay making it so no mainframe AI’s can easily access it
- Despite his love for opera, tango music can occasionally be heard from the main chamber and he refuses to explain why
- Has had a serum in the works but will never explain what it is or what it’s for. Animals or random found humans he tests it on tend to never be seen again
Whitney:
- Despite actually being quite intelligent as a human, was chosen to become the Intelligence Dampening Sphere because a good portion of her personal experiments were both ridiculous and failing miserably most of the time. They figured it would be more useful to let her suggest bad ideas to VLaD instead of actually go through with them on her own
- The glasses worn as an android actually worsen her otherwise perfect robotic vision, but she hasn’t taken them off because she was told not to. Therefore, reading paper or signs is super difficult and most think she can’t read. It was really useful if they accidentally left paper documents around her
- All hacking done in Portal 2 is actually just Dorothy helping them from a console, but Whit will never admit it and takes full credit
- Smells of sandalwood. No one knows how or why

How to erect and dismantle Scaffolding Tower
It's crucial to erect and dismantle scaffold towers securely in order to protect you, your coworkers, and the general public from injury. You've come to the correct site if you've been wondering how to assemble a 3T aluminium scaffolding tower that was rented.
How to Build a Scaffold Tower.

Make the area clear
It's crucial to make sure there is enough room to build your tower properly and without difficulty. To establish a secure zone, all locations that are open to the public should be fenced off. This zone should, at the very least, have a three-meter radius or be one metre taller than the tower. For instance, a tower with a 1.2 m platform height should have a minimum 2.2 m clear radius.
Connect the movable legs 
As seen above, place the castor into the adjustable leg's bottom and then fasten this to the base of the four-rung ladder frame. To level the structure afterwards, you need to leave around 75mm of the extended leg. Press down firmly on the brake mechanism to lock the castors.
Attach the horizontal braces
As seen above, take one of the horizontal braces and fasten it to the vertical frame. Make sure the brace hook trigger is pointed away from your vertical frame and outward.
Using the horizontal brace, you can then join the second four-rung frame to the first one. Remember to connect the castors first, as instructed in Step 2.
Instead of the first brace's hooks pointing right, as seen in the figure above, the second horizontal brace should now be attached with the hooks facing downward.
Level the tower's base
After constructing the main frame, level the tower's base with a spirit level to make sure it is as straight as possible. Until you are certain that the tower is stable, you can tweak the legs as necessary.
Attach the platform.
You may now attach the first platform to your mainframe since it is complete. The platform should simply latch on and rest on the second rung of the frame. Then, as indicated below, clip two diagonal braces to the third rung of the platform and fasten them to the first rung.
As you did on the first rung, you should also place four more horizontal braces with the hooks pointing down on the third and fourth rungs.
Increasing the Tower's Height
The tower's height may be increased by including the following set of four-rung ladder frames. As seen below, you need additionally to install three diagonal braces.
The lengthy poles that protrude from the platform are called as stabilisers because they aid in maintaining the stability of the platform. These may be fastened to the tower's four corners.
Attach the second platform
Clip the second platform to the four-rung frame, just as you did with the previous one.
Due to the fact that you enter them "Through The Trapdoor," these towers are referred to as 3T towers. To place four horizontal guardrails onto the seventh and eighth rungs, position yourself by climbing through the second platform's trapdoor.

Scaffold Towers: Are They Safe?
Scaffolding towers are completely safe if they are constructed appropriately and inside a large enough safe area. However, they have a maximum height and a maximum load, just like any other piece of access equipment. You shouldn't cram it with too many people or particularly large pieces of equipment, and you should only build the tower as high as the manufacturer specifies.
Consider if working at height is safe when there is hazardous weather, such as very heavy rain or high gusts, and consider delaying the operation if necessary.
How To Take A Scaffold Tower Apart
A scaffold tower should be taken down the exact opposite method from how it was put together.
As a result, you may start by removing the four horizontal braces and the toe board on the upper platform. Next, take the tower's stabilisers and top platform off.
The second four-rung ladder frame and the three diagonal braces should next be taken apart. After this is taken apart, you may remove the two diagonal braces, the first platform, and the four horizontal bracing on the third and fourth rungs of the frame.
You should only be left with two horizontal braces connecting two vertical four-rung frames. Before removing the other horizontal brace, remove one horizontal brace first, then unclip one of the frames. Your tower has been disassembled when the castors or adjustable legs are released from the rungs.

Video games are typically categorized according to their hardware platform.  This traditionally includes arcarde video games, console games, and computer (PC) games. A video game is an electroic game that involves interaction with a user interface or input device. These devices include such things as a joystick, controller, keyboard, or motion sensing device.
The first video game prototypes in the 1950s and 1960s were simple extensions of electronic games using video-like output from large, room-sized mainframe computers. The first consumer video game was the arcade video game Computer Space in 1971.
On this episode of the Soul Forge, Shawn and Leah share some of their memories of video games. Leah’s first system was the Commodore 64. Her first game was The Sky is Falling, in which you had to catch fruit. Shawn remembers playing a lot of Missile Command on the Atari 2600. In addition to these systems, they also had the Sega Genesis, the original Nintendo Entertainment System and the Super NES. Naturally, over time, many other systems emerged. These include the various XBOX and Play Station consoles. Nintendo has also released a huge number of video game systems.
Shawn and Leah mention a wide variety of video games. Some of these are (in addition to The Sky is Falling and Missile Command) Earthworm Jim, Toe Jam & Earl, Duck Hunt and Rock n’ Roll Racing. There is also discussion around the various Super Mario titles, including Mario Kart. We also hear about Apex, Minecraft, Hollow Knight, and quite a bit about Five Nights at Freddy’s.
Video games can be great fun. They can bring the whole family together. We used to spend our weekends renting games. Now we all have access to emulators, walk-throughs and guides. When we were kids, we were lucky to have a game genie!

I’m dreaming, but awake. In my own room, in the exact spot I fell asleep. Weird, but that’s how it is. As if I’m here, yet not. Somehow, I’m able to move, even though I know I shouldn’t. Walking to the sliding door that separates my room from the view of Woodside, Queens from the ninth floor. I use my will to open the door, revealing a grassy forest full of scattered, ancient ruins, of animals that walk and dress like people. I check with myself—is this really happening? Is this real? Can I feel the grass under my feet?—yes, yes… yes. I find a path, but am returned before I can make it to the nearest town.
Everything goes fuzzy, and my body phases back into the one in my room. Carried, held carefully like a child, from one world to another, as it all reforms around my awareness—still alive, alert—clicking into existence, and an intake of breath solidifies the return, my eyes already open.
Moments pass… and the phone rings.
